چکیده

Objective: The objective of this study was to compare PMI, PLT/MPV, and other hemogram parameters between COVID-19 patients a control group determine the that are significant in discrimination non-COVID 19. Methods: Data total 80 who presented emergency department our hospital with symptoms suggesting PCR (+) result healthy controls (-) test results were retrospectively analyzed. Patients’ laboratory including white blood cells (WBC), neutrophils count, lymphocytes monocytes ratio (NLR), (LMR), platelets (PLT), (PLR), mean platelet volume (MPV), red cell distribution width (RDW), mass index (PMI), RDW/MPV PLT/MPV ratios At same time, ROC analysis performed for determining indicators distinguishing positive cases from each other. Results: In study, WBC, lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, LMR, platelets, levels decreased, while PLR MPV values increased patients. According analysis, among examined terms discriminating groups, PLR, had areas under curve. best cut-off points parameter found as <2.91 117.95 2167.65 <25.13 Conclusion: Regular visits necessary monitoring possible changes assess potential complications future. For purpose, could provide practical methods.

Background: In the current COVID-19 pandemic, there is a rising need for a rapid and reliable diagnostic tool. We hypothesized that chest computed tomography (CT) can be a potential alternative for reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic value of chest CT and RT-PCR in Iranian patients with suspected COVID-19. Methods: In a...

Background: The present study aimed to compare the complete blood count (CBC) indices between COVID-19 patients and the control group, and assess the relationship of these indices with COVID-19 prognosis given the role of complete blood counts in the COVID-19 prognosis. Methods: COVID-19 patients (confirmed by PCR or CT-Scan) who visited Imam Hospital in Sari were selected in this case-control...

Diagnostic Value of Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio in Crohn's Disease

The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic efficacy of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), neutrophil-to-monocyte ratio (NMR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and non-CD controls. These ratios were all derived from complete blood counts. Two hundred and six participants including CD inpatients and non...
